• Question: Hello, Concerning the covid-19 disease, we are all following the government guidelines and regulations on using soap detergents to wash our hands, these reagents are made of antibacterial agents not antiviral, so therefore, how are antibacterial reagents used to prevent viral infection? unless covid-19 is not a viral infection as it is being said.

Soap breaks the virus up and removes them from the hands. You can check out the science of soap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F04YWAJ_y44 but you must wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.

@mace17key: Thank you for following the government directives and keeping yourself and your neighbours safe! Viruses and other germs, for example, bacteria are made up of an outer protective layer, which keeps the germs safe from our defences that keep us safe. Soap detergents break down the outer protective layers of viruses and other germs. Therefore, regular washing of hands with soap and water both traps and removes these germs that are then removed from the skin, which prevents infection and disease.
